Special test benches for viscous media, e.g. adhesives

Three testing systems – more variants, higher throughput, less space, and shorter testing times. For the end customer, MERECS has fundamentally rethought three established testing processes and further developed them into high-performance, standardized testing solutions. The glue pump test bench replaces four specialized, existing test stations with a single, universal test bench. The standardized hardware and software concept simultaneously forms the basis for the other test benches and future testing systems. A transport cart, loss-free quick-release couplings, and robust industrial components reduce setup times, potential sources of error, and space requirements. The new test station requires only one-third of the previous area and achieves 99% availability through professional maintenance. The valve test bench enables the testing of up to 144 test specimen variants on a compact system. Two parallel test chambers have doubled the testing throughput compared to the previous solution with five workstations. Optimized test sequences, automated ERP integration, and statistical measurement data analysis ensure an efficient and transparent testing process. The melting test bench automates a previously time-consuming step in end-of-line (EOL) testing: Instead of manually filling and melting adhesive granules, the already molten medium is automatically fed in. Together with a new connection and contacting concept and the automatic selection of the appropriate test sequence, setup and test times are significantly reduced. These three systems demonstrate how standardization, automation, and intelligent testing concepts can simultaneously increase product variety, throughput, and flexibility while significantly reducing test times, setup effort, and space requirements.
