The automation of production processes using robots is now standard in many industries. Robotics has contributed to a significant increase in the efficiency and quality of production, especially in machine loading and unloading. Robots can perform a variety of tasks in machine loading and unloading, from handling heavy parts to the fine assembly of sensitive components. The use of robots can speed up production processes and reduce labor costs as human workers are freed from the tedious and repetitive tasks. In addition, the use of robots in machine loading and unloading can also lead to higher product quality. Robots are able to perform precision work with a high level of repeatability, which can lead to a reduction in errors and scrap. In this context, collaborative robots (cobots) are also becoming increasingly important. These robots work hand-in-hand with human workers, assisting them in performing machine loading and unloading tasks. This not only increases productivity, but also improves employee safety. Overall, robotics in machine loading and unloading offers many advantages that can help companies to make their production processes more effective and efficient.

    4. 1D/2D and Barcode Scanners

      1D/2D and Barcode Scanners

1D/2D and barcode scanners reliably process simple barcodes with high data density, all the way up to complex 2D codes, which are marked directly on the respective parts (DPM codes). The stationary and mobile code readers use different types of light and functional principles such as CCD and CMOS lines or liquid lens auto-focus. With its comprehensive scanner portfolio, wenglor offers the right technology and solution for every type of code and application – including for the detection of needle-punched, printed, lasered or etched codes on glossy or curved materials.

    5. 2D/3D Profile Sensors

      2D/3D Profile Sensors

2D/3D profile sensors measure objects 360° all the way around, precisely control the positions of robots and inspect surfaces with micrometer accuracy. They use the principle of laser triangulation to create 2D height profiles and 3D point clouds. Various interfaces guarantee quick integration of the weCat3D sensors into complex systems. Various model variants offer precise resolution in a compact housing design and unbeatable profile quality thanks to optimized high-quality optics. Variants for specific applications enable use in harsh welding environments, precision bending machines or washdown areas.

    6. 3-axis IO-Link vibration sensor for smart condition monitoring

3-axis IO-Link vibration sensor for smart condition monitoring

Gain valuable insights into the health of your machinery with the new VVB3 condition monitoring sensor. The VVB3 sensor continuously detects vibration in three axes and additionally measures the surface temperature of non-rotating components. From these values, the smart sensor determines the machine’s “vitals”. With its wide frequency range of 5,600 Hz, the sensor can detect anomalies, wear, bearing damage, insufficient lubrication or cavitation reliably and early. This allows you to react before any serious damage and increased follow-up costs can occur. With VVB3, you invest in regular check-ups to keep your equipment running smoothly and ensure there are no underlying problems. Are you ready to unlock the power of predictive maintenance and monitor the fitness of your machinery?

    7. 3-D-Print creates compact drives

      3-D-Print creates compact drives

3D PRINTING FOR COMPACT COMPLETE DRIVES 3D-printed parts are being successfully used in an increasing number of applications. GERDT SEEFRID GmbH is now using this highly flexible manufacturing method in series production to adapt electronic components to its DC/BLDC motors. This enables cost-effective solutions, particularly for customized solutions in small to medium quantities. For example, optical encoders can be mounted precisely and quickly on the motors or, as in a current project, a motor controller can be mounted and pre-wired directly on the back of a motor's gearbox. The housing and adapters are developed specifically for the project, are easy to assemble, and can also be adapted to other in-house motors with minor modifications. The customer thus receives a fully prepared drive "out of the box" and, after mechanically assembling the motor, only needs to attach the wiring. The drive system is then immediately ready for use.

    8. 3D Sensors

      3D Sensors

3D sensors perform three-dimensional completeness, dimensional accuracy and surface checks. They enable the control of robots, for example in depalletization or bin picking applications. The camera-based 3D sensors work in accordance with the structured light principle. They project several light patterns onto the components to be detected; a camera in the sensor records these light patterns and digitizes the components into a 3D point cloud. The method allows you to create complete 3D point clouds of stationary objects in a single shot. The extremely fast calculation of the point cloud takes place directly in the sensor. Software development kits (SDK) or standardized interfaces such as GigE Vision are used for easy integration. The different models are equipped with a high-resolution camera with a resolution of 5 or 12 MP. Six selectable measuring ranges and extensive accessories ensure perfect integration into industrial systems – both in factory automation and intralogistics.
