About us
measX is a recognized specialist for test bench technology and test data management. For more than 40 years, the company has been developing, manufacturing and distributing customized test systems for research, development and production. Well-known companies from the automotive, mechanical engineering, chemical and other industries rely on the technological competence and expertise of measX.
The focus in the test bench technology competence area is on automated measuring and testing systems, modernization, in-house connection technology and specialized measuring devices in small series.
In the test data management competence area, measX realizes data management applications and evaluation systems that help customers to make comprehensive use of the test data obtained. The specially developed evaluation software X-Frame can be used universally and is open to customer-specific adaptations.
One special area is evaluation software for vehicle safety: the X-Crash, X-Zero, X-Crash ATD and X-Pedpro programs enable the evaluation of active and passive safety tests as well as the certification of dummies and impactors in accordance with internationally applicable regulations. X-Crash for passive vehicle safety tests has been a binding Euro NCAP standard since 2011. The MOSES software specializes in vehicle dynamics tests.
At the company locations in Moenchengladbach and Aachen, more than 60 employees work for customers in Germany, Europe and beyond.
measX is a long-standing partner of NI (National Instruments, now Emerson) and an active member of committees such as the AMA Fachverband für Sensorik e.V., ASAM e.V., the Arbeitskreis Messdatenverarbeitung Fahrzeugsicherheit (MDVFS) and the ISO Committee Messtechnik. As a partner of universities and colleges, measX sees itself as a bridge builder between research and industry.

Designed for Harsh Conditions
Trelleborg Sealing Solutions – a business area of Sweden’s Trelleborg Group – is a leading global developer, manufacturer, and supplier of precision polymer seals, bearings, and custom polymer components. Their innovative solutions address demanding requirements in aerospace, automotive, medical, and general industries. Within Manufacturing & Automation, a core focus is seals for hydraulic and lubricating oils, utilizing advanced elastomers, polyurethanes, and high-performance plastics for optimal sealing and longevity. Trelleborg not only produces these products but also customizes sealing systems. The company operates global R&D centers, equipped with over 200 test benches, to deliver tailored solutions for every application.

Dauerlaufprüfstand
Endurance tests are crucial for quality assurance because they simulate real-world operating conditions over extended periods, allowing for the early detection of potential problems. They serve as quality tests for suppliers and manufacturers and enable the validation of development results. However, since each test specimen requires its own test bench, this results in significant space, personnel, and cost expenditures – making endurance tests, despite their importance, a considerable economic and organizational challenge.

XXL Engines under Spotlight
Everllence, headquartered in Augsburg, is a global leader in large diesel and gas engines. The company specializes in roomsized four-stroke engines delivering up to 26 megawatts for marine propulsion and stationary power generation. Production takes place at the main plant and several international sites. Each engine is started and run-in for the first time at the manufacturing location, then subjected to comprehensive testing equipped with advanced measurement technology. Before delivery, every engine undergoes a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) to demonstrate compliance with customer requirements. This acceptance test involves extensive measurements of performance, fuel consumption, emissions, and other parameters. Results are documented in reports that require sign-off by both parties.

Precision for High Fequency
Rosenberger Hochfrequenztechnik, with its headquarters in Fridolfing, Upper Bavaria, is a member of the Rosenberger Group and a leading international manufacturer of connection solutions. One area of focus is customer-specific high-frequency solutions for high-tech companies in a diverse range of industries. Rosenberger pursues a zero-error strategy: All wires and wire modules are laboriously tested at the end of production. The complex measurements take place in manual test facilities and on test benches equipped with measurement robots. Automated testing is implemented in particular for modules with hundreds of contacts. Two robot arms contact all wire or contact pairs of the test piece, measure them using a vector network analyzer (VNA) and verify the results against customer specifications.

Endurance Performance
As the world’s best-selling chain saw brand since 1971, STIHL stands for top quality and innovation. The product portfolio is regularly expanded with new and innovative tools, from chainsaws to hedge trimmers, from cutoff grinders to robotic lawnmowers, including combustion engine, cord or cordless options. STIHL’s state-of-the-art development center at the company’s headquarters in Waiblingen near Stuttgart makes this possible. It features a testing facility with over 100 bays for prototypes and production model endurance testing. For every model, a detailed test plan is developed and managed in a test database. STIHL’s development engineers meet the challenge of obtaining validated test results in the shortest possible time by running a full spectrum of endurance tests in parallel 24/7.
