About us
WE SEE OURSELVES AS A SENSOR SPECIALIST IN THE FIELD OF
CHALLENGING AUTOMATION TECHNOLOGY.
We have stood for high-performance sensors in automation technology in the German-
speaking markets for over three decades. We prioritize the highest level of quality
and have our own production at our headquarters in Altena in Sauerland.
Permanent research and development play an equally substantial role as the education
and training of employees and management. Our company, which was founded in 1982,
is managed today by the familiy in the second generation.
We apply special standards in environmental protection and sustainable resource management.
We place a lot of emphasis on courteous help and care when it comes to customer
service and order management. In doing so, your personal satisfaction is especially important
for us. We would like to be recommended, that is why we perform better than
required.
From the moment you get in touch with us, a personal contact is available to assist you.
We will provide you with detailed consultancy services when it comes to selecting the
right sensors, offer approaches for problem solving and continue to provide assistance
after the delivery.
Often, we provide our customers with valueable assistance, also beyond sensor technology.
The free provision of test equipment is usual practice. Matters of goodwill are
seldom and we solve them professionally. In short, we are interested in developing a
good and long-term cooperation.

Exclusive multitool
It is often the little things that make everyday work easier. Lo and behold, here comes the multitool - in this form exclusively available at ipf electronic. The small multitool AY000154 fits in every trouser pocket and integrates a total of eight tools, including six Allen keys for fastening the sensors from ipf electronic for querying pneumatic cylinders. Especially the Allen key with 2.5mm is mostly missing in comparable multitools and also the key with 0.7mm is usually not available in most tool sets. If, for example, the potentiometer of an optical sensor needs to be adjusted, it is not necessary to look for a suitable screwdriver, because the multitool also contains two suitable solutions.

Real “rays of hope” in form of LEDs
ipf electronic is constantly expanding its program of LED lights. Currently, an LED machine light and a mobile hand lamp complete the wide range of products. The new LED machine light EM510101 with a power consumption of 24W has a color temperature of 6.000 Kelvin (daylight white). The light (total length 597mm, diameter 51mm) is designed in IP67 and is therefore also suitable for more demanding industrial applications. The LED cover made of tempered glass protects the illuminants and ensures a uniform radiation characteristic of the light. In addition to the advantages of an energy-saving and equally robust and durable solution, the machine light also facilitates installation and alignment, as it can also be subsequently adjusted using the mounting material. The perfect companion, e.g. for maintenance and repair work or inspections, is the mobile LED hand lamp EY000001 with adjustable light intensity from ipf electronic. Due to the integrated holding magnets the lamp can be easily fixed on metallic surfaces. Furthermore, it has a fastening hook. With the articulated joint the lamp can be adjusted on site. The user has the choice between a surface LED and an LED spot. Finally, a warning light function (red light) completes the EY000001's versatile, mobile application possibilities. The LED hand lamp is charged via a USB port.

Monitoring compressed air in a few steps - without separation
With the SL870020, ipf electronic has a sensor in its portfolio that monitors compressed air consumption with high measuring accuracy. In addition, it is possible to retrofit the sensor into existing systems during operation and for device maintenance during operation. At a suitable measuring location, with dry air and under consideration of the inlet/outlet section, only a flange with a G½" ball valve (retrofitted if necessary) is required. Then the sensor is screwed onto the ball valve, which is opened then. The system does not lose air at this point. Afterwards, only the clamping sleeve has to be loosened and the measuring head has to be pushed in until it is placed in the middle of the pipeline with the help of a scale. Finally, the clamping sleeve is tightened again, which completes the installation. Now only the measuring results are missing. A Modbus RTU interface, a pulse output for counting or a 4-20mA analog output are available for this purpose. Thus, the entire information on air consumption can be easily processed in-house, so that you never lose track of the costs. The solution portfolio is rounded off by a local consumption measurement system that reliably performs its service even in confined spaces: The sensors listed below have an internal flow straightener. Therefore they require no or in exceptional cases only a very short inlet and outlet distance.

Where is the leakage?v
No, this is not the beginning of a crime story. Rather, we would like to introduce you to a new product in the ipf portfolio. Our leakage detection device for compressed air. In process automation, the use of compressed air plays an essential role. At first glance, the production of this operating resource seems uncomplicated, but including the provision of this resource, it requires an expenditure of resources that should not be underestimated. For example, compressed air must be available in a correspondingly pure form, i.e. filters must be used to clean the air (condensed water and particles) so that the system does not experience excessive wear. Nevertheless, wear and tear, but also damage, repeatedly lead to uncontrolled loss of system compressed air, which is noticeable by more or less loud hissing. Locating the leakage points of the compressed air was previously sometimes time-consuming and nerve-racking. However, the ipf leakage detector can provide considerable assistance in the search. Special microphone attachments, a headset and an integrated laser pointer allow the position of a leak to be precisely determined. Since the leakage location in a system may not be easily accessible, there are various microphone attachments available to reach even inaccessible fault locations and thus identify them specifically. However, the leakage detector not only assists in troubleshooting, but also in checking and documenting the energy balance. For example, the measured values collected on site can be stored in the device with additional information, transferred to a PC, and software can be used to create complete documentation in the sense of energy management according to ISO 50001. The leakage detector is available as a set in a handy case with complete accessories under article number UY98E266 or as a single device under article number UY000001.
