Seefrid places great emphasis on high product availability and a good price/performance ratio. The majority of drives and most motor controllers are stocked in the large and well-stocked warehouse in Bad Vilbel and can be delivered at short notice.
Another division of Gerdt Seefrid GmbH is the production of accessories for Cabinet-Builders and switchgear construction. With an extensive range of support and anchor rails, Gerdt Seefrid GmbH has established itself for many years as a reliable specialist supplier for control and switchgear construction.
The product range focuses on 25 different profile shapes, including the frequently used support rails 35x7.5 and 35x15 mm, as well as anchor rails in the dimensions 35x18 and 40x22 mm. The individual profile types are available with various hole sizes, hole shapes, and grid dimensions, as well as in unperforated versions. Depending on the profile type, customers can choose between Sendzimir and hot-dip galvanizing, as well as thick-film passivation. Profiles are also available in bright steel and copper. In total, there are over 80 different combinations, so that users can find the right profile for their application from a single source at Seefrid, directly from stock.
The product range is rounded out by mounting accessories that perfectly match the profiles, such as sliding nuts, hammer-head bolts, flat and diagonal clamps, grounding cables, and flat earthing strips.
Seefrid's service offerings are a real highlight. For example, the cutting and punching service for profile rails enables cost savings, especially for medium and large quantities. Customers receive their profile rails cut to the desired length according to their drawings and, if necessary, punched. This is made possible by a dedicated machine park directly attached to the modern shipping warehouse.

Wormwheel-Gearmotors in several sizes
Compact DC worm gear motors from Seefrid, with an excellent price-performance ratio, are a good alternative to servo or three-phase motors for many motion processes. The drives from the DCGM 43 T50, DCGM 63 T50, and DCGM 63 T72 series offer high starting torque immediately available upon power-up, easy reversal of rotation direction by reversing the polarity of the supply voltage, and – thanks to operation with protective extra-low voltage – safety. A wide selection of speed, rated torque, and shaft designs ensures that the right drive is usually available for the respective application. Customer-specific adaptations are also possible depending on the quantity required. Many models also come with factory-installed incremental encoders. These encoders, located on the armature shaft, are usually designed as 2-channel Hall sensors. They can be used to measure the speed or solve simple positioning tasks with minimal effort. Further information, data sheets, 2D and 3D CAD models for the drives presented here and for all other Seefrid products can be found in the Drive Technology product area.

Planetary-Gearboxmotors in several sizes
With the planetary gearmotors of the THETADRIVE 22-42 and DCPM 16-77 product families, Gerdt Seefrid GmbH in Bad Vilbel sets standards in terms of selection, flexibility, and price/performance ratio. Planetary gearmotors offer designers decisive advantages in some applications. For example, the output shaft of the gearmotor is aligned with the motor shaft connected to the gearmotor input, and the gearmotor volume – measured in terms of the transmittable power – is smaller than with other gearmotor designs. The range of mounted gearmotors in each series includes a variety of reduction ratios. This means that a suitable planetary gearmotor can be found for almost any speed requirement within the limits of technical possibilities. Depending on the series and voltage, no-load speeds from 3 to 3000 revolutions per minute are possible. All data sheets with detailed information on the series presented here, 3D step data, and additional information are available on the website.

BLDC-Motors with Wormwheel- or Planetary Gearbox
Following its successful market launch in the "42 mm class," Gerdt Seefrid GmbH is continuously expanding its product range of BLDC drives and matching controllers. The Bad Vilbel-based company will be adding 57 mm diameter BLDC motors to its portfolio next year. These drives are available both without gearboxes and in combination with worm gears. The BMC 300H controller for BLDC motors with Hall sensors has been available from stock since the second quarter of 2015. With five digital inputs, five integrated potentiometers for setpoint inputs, two relay outputs, a supply voltage output for sensors, and a CANopen interface, Seefrid's multi-talented device offers a cost-effective way to control brushless DC motors with up to 10 A continuous current. Thanks to its diverse functions, the controller can be used to solve small control tasks even without the use of a higher-level PLC. The BMC 50H BLDC controller is available for motor currents up to 2.5 A and simple applications. This controller also features a good price-performance ratio and high availability.

Linear-Actuators
The DCSA 36 series linear actuators are compact, highly versatile actuators. With a stroke force of up to 2100 N and a maximum feed rate of 40 mm/s, the actuators can be used in a wide variety of applications. The two basic versions, open or encapsulated, are available with or without a Hall sensor. The standard series is the open linear actuator series, for which various lengths of the 3 x 10 mm trapezoidal thread spindle are available. Encapsulated linear actuators with a conventional push rod are also available as a custom design.

Steel-Rails for Cabinet-Builders
With a comprehensive range of support and anchor rails, Gerdt Seefrid GmbH has established itself for many years as a reliable specialist supplier of electromechanical components. Its customer base includes well-known companies in the switchgear and electrical industries. The product range focuses on 25 different profile shapes, including the frequently used 35x7.5 and 35x15 mm support rails, as well as anchor rails in the dimensions 35x18 and 40x22 mm. In total, there are over 80 different combinations, meaning that Seefrid users can find the right profile for their application from a single source, directly from stock. The product range is rounded out by mounting accessories that perfectly match the profiles, such as sliding nuts, hammer-head bolts, flat and diagonal clamps, grounding cables, and flat earthing strips. Seefrid's service offerings are a real highlight. For example, the cutting and hole-punching service for profile rails enables cost savings, especially for medium and large quantities. Customers receive their profile rails cut to the desired length according to their drawings and, if necessary, also punched. This is made possible by a dedicated machine park, which is directly connected to the modern shipping warehouse.

DC / BLDC-Motorcontroller
Drive systems can be easily implemented with cost-effective DC/BLDC motor controllers. Since 2015, with the introduction of the Universal Motor Controllers UMC 300 (DC) and BMC 300H (BLDC), motor controllers for motor currents up to 10 A in continuous operation have been available. The available digital inputs, various signal outputs, and, last but not least, the optional CANOpen connection provide various options for solving control tasks easily and cost-effectively. Additional hardware components can also be offered and manufactured for specific projects. The example shows an LED display that can be plugged separately onto the existing post connector and the additional heat sink for cooling the rectifier. For applications with smaller motors, the UMC 51 motor controller is also available; it is capable of operating DC or BLDC motors with continuous currents of 2.5 A (5 A peak). Due to the size of only 43 x 50 mm, analog connections are limited, but almost all functions of the larger series are also available via the CANOpen interface.

3-D-Print creates compact drives
3D PRINTING FOR COMPACT COMPLETE DRIVES 3D-printed parts are being successfully used in an increasing number of applications. GERDT SEEFRID GmbH is now using this highly flexible manufacturing method in series production to adapt electronic components to its DC/BLDC motors. This enables cost-effective solutions, particularly for customized solutions in small to medium quantities. For example, optical encoders can be mounted precisely and quickly on the motors or, as in a current project, a motor controller can be mounted and pre-wired directly on the back of a motor's gearbox. The housing and adapters are developed specifically for the project, are easy to assemble, and can also be adapted to other in-house motors with minor modifications. The customer thus receives a fully prepared drive "out of the box" and, after mechanically assembling the motor, only needs to attach the wiring. The drive system is then immediately ready for use.
