The TOP 100, the most innovative medium-sized companies in Germany, will be honored for the 23rd time. MSF-Vathauer Antriebstechnik GmbH & Co. KG belongs to this innovation elite this year. The Detmold-based company previously took part in a demanding, scientific selection process. The innovation management and the innovation success were examined. The mentor of the innovation competition, Ranga Yogeshwar, honors the top innovator as part of the German SME Summit on June 24th in Essen.
MSF-Vathauer Antriebstechnik GmbH & Co. KG is the technology leader in decentralized drive automation. The Detmold family company is thus an important player on the way to a digitized economy, known as “Industry 4.0” for short. In the TOP 100 innovation competition, the company, which was founded in 1978, impressed with its innovation processes and the way in which it involves its employees, customers and external research institutions in the development of solutions.
The top innovator initially has new ideas from its own ranks or from partners evaluated in all areas of the company. If the company management gives the green light for a development, the developers work closely with national and international sales to agree on which markets the new solution could be of interest and how it may need to be adapted for certain markets. By means of accompanying market analyzes, those responsible also check which additional areas of application are available. “Here, modern and scientifically proven market analysis tools are also used,” says the managing director Marc Vathauer.
